Woke teacher suggests that her students say the Pledge of Allegiance to the Pride flag

High school teacher Kristin Pitzen told her students that in the absence of the American flag in her classroom which made her “uncomfortable,” they could say the Pledge of Allegiance to the Pride flag instead.
“I tell this kid, we do have a flag in the class that you can pledge your allegiance to,” she says in the video as she cackles and pans to the Pride flag hanging above some bookshelves.

Pitzen teaches at Newport Mesa Unified School District in California. On her TikTok, she explains how she took down the American flag in her classroom during the pandemic, packed it away, and hasn’t put it back up.
According to Pitzen, when a student brought up the fact that it felt odd to say the pledge of allegiance to nothing, she assured him “I got you.” She told him she forgot where she packed the flag away and needs to find it, and is “working on it.” Then she turns to the camera, makes a face, silently shakes her head “no,” and laughs as though to indicate that she has no intention of reinstating the flag in her classroom despite what she told her student.

“Man we just had 12 Marines die yesterday and most of them were under the age of 30 and they were protecting people like this,” another person commented.
“How do people like this get jobs teaching? This isn’t a teacher,” someone else said.
“Parents have a right to know. This teacher activism phenomenon is frightening. Unaccountable activists using children as guinea pigs. And people wonder why home schooling rates are so high,” said another.

Another TikTok video from June shows Pitzen in her classroom with her hand over her heart, saying, “I pledge allegiance to the queers.”
“She should be relieved of her duties,” observed another Twitter user.
“Please go back and learn the correct history of America, we are an ideal so that men remain free to pursue life, LIBERTY, and happiness! That flag represents liberty and those who have shed their blood for us in pursuit of that very freedom you take for granted! Stop teaching!” tweeted another person.
