Biden collapses head at podium after one question from Peter Doocy

President Biden is receiving criticism for how he handled a question from Fox News’ Peter Doocy about taking responsibility for the twelve American military members who died in Kabul Thursday.

“Mr. President, there has been a U.S. service member killed in combat in Afghanistan since February of 2020. You set a deadline, you pulled troops out, you sent troops back in, and now twelve Marines are dead. You said the buck stops with you. Do you bear any responsibility for the way that things have unfolded in the last two weeks?” Doocy asked Biden.

“I bear responsibility for fundamentally all that’s happened of late,” Biden responded. Before going on to place blame on former President Donald Trump.

“But here’s the deal. You know, I wish you would one day say these things. You know as well as I do that the former President made a deal with the Taliban that he would get all American forces out of Afghanistan by May 1. In return, the commitment was made, and that was a year before. In return, he was given a commitment that the Taliban would continue to attack others but would not attack any American forces. Remember that? I’m serious,” Biden asked Doocy.

“Donald Trump is not the president anymore,” Doocy shoots back at Biden.

“No, I’m asking you a question,” Biden says in return. “Is that accurate to the best of your knowledge?”

Doocy continued to ask further questions, and Biden appears to collapse his head into his hands and leather notebook for nearly ten seconds before lifting back up and answering Doocy’s question.

Reactions to the tense moment were widespread across social media.

“Was he sleeping for 15 seconds there? Asked one Twitter user.

“He literally reversed all the trump policies, can’t he reverse this one? When you are in command of something, you are fully responsible,” said another.

“Biden tells Peter Doocy he bears responsibility, then blames Trump & pauses for a short nap,” said someone else.

“If you are an enemy of America watching that Joe Biden press conference, you are drooling over American weakness like Homer Simpson over a hamburger,” tweeted conservative commentator Ben Shapiro in response to the press conference.

“President Biden looks and sounds tired, weak & defeated. What a rambling, stumbling, dreadful speech,” said Piers Morgan.

“Listening to a question. What an image,” said Tom Harwood.

“That’s a man a trying very hard to put his teeth back in without anyone noticing,” quipped another Twitter user.
